Book on Playtomic

Coed-y-Mwstwr, a country house hotel near Bridgend set in Vale of Glamorgan parkland, has added two outdoor panoramic padel courts to its leisure grounds. Bookings run through Playtomic and are open to non-residents as well as hotel guests, with racket hire, free parking and a snack bar and restaurant on site for players before or after a match. The hotel joins a small but growing number of Welsh country-house and golf venues adding padel as a guest amenity rather than building a dedicated stand-alone club. It sits a short drive from Pontyclun and Porthcawl, giving the Bridgend area three separate padel venues within a few miles of one another.

New to padel? What you need for your first session

Most UK padel venues hire rackets by the hour, so you do not need to buy anything before your first game. Check this club’s booking page for hire availability and prices.

Once you have played a few times and want your own kit, this is the order we would buy in.
