Broughton Padel is based at the Broughton & District Club on Whittingham Lane, just north of Preston near junction 32 of the M6. Its padel courts opened in October 2024 and feature fully automatic LED floodlighting that powers on whenever daylight is insufficient. Play is open to everyone, members and non-members alike, on a pay-as-you-go or membership basis, with free loan equipment provided for newcomers. Online booking runs daily from 8am to 10pm via the club website or the LTA Booker app. A coaching programme from Wayne Scott Tennis & Padel caters to beginners and improvers, and the club was named Tennis Lancashire Club of the Year for 2025.

New to padel? What you need for your first session

Most UK padel venues hire rackets by the hour, so you do not need to buy anything before your first game. Check this club’s booking page for hire availability and prices.

Once you have played a few times and want your own kit, this is the order we would buy in.
