KORTA (Curl Aberdeen)

KORTA has turned Curl Aberdeen’s curling rink on Eday Walk into a four-court indoor padel pop-up, part of a roughly £250,000 transformation designed to test demand ahead of a planned permanent club elsewhere in the city. Padel enthusiast Jan Goldbeck is behind the concept, which pairs panoramic courts with pilates sessions and a relaxed social space rather than a purely sport-focused set-up. The pop-up runs from 18 April to mid-September 2026, bookable through Playtomic, with coaching, leagues and social sessions alongside standard court hire. It gives Aberdeen a third indoor padel option alongside Strikers and the Tennis Centre, at least for the summer season.
