Bannatyne Health Club’s Ingleby Barwick site, on Teesside, opened its first two padel courts in summer 2025 – floodlit, canopy-covered, synthetic-turf courts open to members and non-members alike. Demand proved strong enough that Stockton Council granted planning consent in 2026 for two further courts of similar size and specification, which would double capacity to four. Group chairman Duncan Bannatyne cited the club’s padel investment when reporting record 2025 turnover, and named several other towns being considered for future Bannatyne padel courts, though none of those has confirmed details yet. The original two courts remain the only ones confirmed built and operating.
