Tapia & Coello Dominate Riyadh Season P1

The 2026 Premier Padel season kicked off in style as world number ones Agustín Tapia and Arturo Coello claimed the Riyadh Season P1 title, defeating Federico Chingotto and Alejandro Galán 6-4, 6-2 in a commanding 65-minute final. It marks their 32nd title as a pair, with Tapia notching his 54th career trophy. On the women’s side, Claudia Ustero and Bea Sánchez completed an epic comeback to take the women’s crown. The result confirms Tapia/Coello as the pair to beat heading into 2026.

📺 Premier Padel Expands — UK Gets a Tournament!

In huge news for British padel, the 2026 Premier Padel calendar has expanded to 24 tournaments across 17 countries, and London has been confirmed as a brand-new venue. This will be the first-ever Premier Padel event on UK soil — a landmark moment for the sport’s growth here. beIN Sports has also renewed its broadcasting deal, ensuring fans can follow all the action. The UK event date is yet to be confirmed, but expect massive demand for tickets.

New Padel Club Opens in Chichester

Sussex welcomed a new padel venue as a Spanish-inspired padel club opened in Chichester at St James Industrial Estate. Described as “like stepping into Spain,” the club held its official launch on 7 February with taster sessions and demonstrations. It’s the latest in a wave of new padel facilities popping up across the south of England.

R3 Sport Announces £50K Bullpadel Cup Prize Pot

R3 Sport has revealed a £50,000 total prize pot for their 2026 Bullpadel Cup series, setting a new benchmark for professional padel competition in the UK. The prize fund includes event purses and an end-of-season leaderboard payout, giving British players a genuine financial incentive to compete domestically. This is a significant step toward professionalising the UK padel circuit.

The LTA has published the full Padel Performance Competition Calendar for 2026, including both FIP-sanctioned events and LTA Padel British Tour stops throughout the year. The February 2026 world rankings have been published following the Riyadh P1 and various FIP Platinum events. Tapia and Coello remain firmly at world number one on the men’s side.
